Washington, DC Tours - Hours of Operation through August 30, 2019
All tickets have been distributed for today.

All tickets for the Washington, DC tour have been distributed for Friday, April 19. Tickets are not required to visit the Visitor Center and gift shop.
The Washington, DC Tour is undergoing a structural renovation throughout 2019.  Although tours will continue to run every 30 minutes, please be advised that space is extremely limited during this time.  If you plan to visit during the renovation, the tour entrance has relocated to 15th Street with an accessible entrance available by request at the ticket booth.  For more information regarding the accessible entrance prior to your visit, please call (202) 874-2330 or contact the tourscheduler@bep.gov.

Located in the heart of the Nation's Capital, the BEP's Washington, DC Tour and Visitor Center is a great place to learn all about U.S. paper currency.  See millions of dollars being printed as you walk along the gallery overlooking the production floor!


The free 40-minute experience includes an introductory film and gallery tour of the production process.  The visitor center includes exhibits and currency products for sale.


What you Need to Know


Admission is free.


The BEP is open to the public weekdays, Monday through Friday, and closed on weekends and federal holidays.


Tickets are required for the tour through Friday, August 30.  The ticket booth, located at Raoul Wallenberg Place, formerly 15th Street, SW, opens at 8:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and closes when all tickets have been distributed for the day.  Visitor lines form early at the ticket booth, especially during the Cherry Blossom Festival and spring holidays.


The tour and visitor entrance is located at Roaul Wallenberg Place, SW. For information regarding the accessible entrance in advance of your tour, please call (202) 874-2330.


Visitors must line up at the tour entrance and wait for direction from a tour guide to enter the building.


All visitors are required to go through a security screening.

9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.


Group Tours

11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (Advanced Reservations for Large Groups Only)

Tour runs every 30 minutes

 

Visitor Center & Gift Shop                         

8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (The entrance closes to the public at 6:00 p.m.) 

 

BEP offers tours on a first-come, first-served basis.  All visitors are required to pass through a security screening.


Visitors must wait at the entrance for tour guide direction to enter the building.
