Washington, DC (November 6, 2015) – Treasurer of the United States Rosie Rios will unveil two new Lucky Money products at a Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) press conference on Tuesday, November 17 at 10:30 a.m., at 14th & C Streets, SW. Treasurer Rios will unveil the Year of the Monkey 2016 and the $2 “8888” Lucky Money Sheet products in honor of the Chinese Lunar New Year. The Year of the Monkey 2016 product features a $1 Federal Reserve note with a serial number beginning with “8888.” The introduction of the Year of the Monkey 2016 product is the third issue from BEP’s second generation of the Lucky Money Lunar Calendar product line. The $2 “8888” Lucky Money Sheet features a $2 8-subject, uncut currency sheet with the serial numbers of all eight notes beginning with “8888.”
The first day of sale for both products is Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. (ET).
