First Day of Sale: July 6, 2016 (8:00 a.m. ET)– The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is pleased to introduce the 2016 Happy Birthday Currency Note, featuring a Series 2013 $1 note with a serial number beginning with “2016xxxx.” The note is protected by a clear, acid-free polymer sleeve in an attractive folder. The 2016 Happy Birthday Currency Note is $5.95.
