Job Opportunity: Deputy Associate Director (Product Design and Development)

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is a premiere world currency banknote manufacturer, whose vision is to set the world standard for banknotes and document security through excellence in manufacturing and innovation. 

United States currency holds a unique place in the global economy and BEP is looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and customer focused leader with exceptional communication and management skills to serve as Deputy Associate Director (Product Design and Development).

As Deputy AD, duties will include, but are not limited to, assisting the AD:

  • With the responsibility to chair the United States Currency Program (USCP) technical committees that make decisions for investments in new technologies and research and development (R&D) initiatives and new banknote development.
  • In setting the vision for BEP's product innovation and leads the execution of that vision.
  • Set specific goals for the Offices of Technology Development, Product Development, and Process Management.

This position is envisioned to improve our overall USCP leadership.  The responsibilities inherent in the position are exceptionally complex because of the high volume of currency produced, the rigorous quality standards, the necessity to maintain confidentiality and security with respect to key processes and technologies.
