Washington, DC (November 10, 2011) - Treasurer of the United States Rosie Rios will unveil a new Lucky Money product at a Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) news conference on Tuesday, November 15 at 10:00 a.m., at 14th & C Streets, SW. Journalists interested in attending this press conference must RSVP by Friday, November 11.
Treasurer Rios will unveil the “Year of the Dragon” product in honor of the Chinese Lunar New Year. The “Year of the Dragon” product features a $1 Federal Reserve Note, and has a serial number beginning with “8888.” The BEP introduced its first Lucky Money product in 2000.
This product will be released for sale on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 8:00 a.m., ET, and can be purchased through the BEP’s website at www.moneyfactorystore.gov or by telephone at 1(800) 456-3408. This product may also be purchased at both BEP Visitor Center locations in Washington, DC and Fort Worth, Texas.
