Washington, DC (December 18, 2015) – The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is pleased to introduce its 2016 Intaglio Print Subscription Program, the Independence Collection. This year’s program focuses on the Declaration of Independence. The collection features an exquisite compilation of unique, engraved vignettes focusing on the age-old art of intaglio printing. The first day of sale for this collection is January 7, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. (EST).
The Independence Collection consists of three intaglio prints – Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness. The first card, Life, will go on sale January 7, 2016 in conjunction with BEP’s participation at the Florida United Numismatists convention in Tampa, Florida, January 7-10, 2016. The second card, Liberty, will go on sale March 3, 2016. The third card, Pursuit of Happiness, will go on sale August 9, 2016.
To participate in BEP’s 2016 Intaglio Print Subscription Program and to ensure that you receive each intaglio print in this collection, you must subscribe by January 31, 2016. Each intaglio print will ship after its first day of sale as noted above. The Independence Collection subscription is $51. Individual cards are $22.50.
