Washington, DC (November 3, 2017)– Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Director Leonard R. Olijar will unveil a new Lucky Money product at a press conference on Tuesday, November 14 at 9:30 a.m., at the BEP, located at 14th & C Streets, SW. Journalists interested in attending this press conference must RSVP by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13. Please arrive at BEP by 8:45 a.m. to set-up.
Director Olijar will unveil the Year of the Dog 2018 product in celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year. Thefeatures a $1 Federal Reserve note with a serial number beginning with “8888.” The introduction of the Year of the Dog 2018 is the fifth issue from BEP’s second generation of the Lucky Money Lunar Calendar product line.
The product’s first day of sale is Wednesday, November 15 at 8:00 a.m. (ET). The Year of the Dog 2018 and additional currency products may be purchased by telephone, toll free, at 1(800) 456-3408, by fax (888) 891-7585, in the Washington, DC and Fort Worth, Texas Visitor Center Gift Shops, and through BEP’s online store, moneyfactorystore.gov.
