The Bureau of Engraving and Printing Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing with the 2019 $2 Rocketship

Washington, D.C. (June 10, 2019) – In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is pleased to introduce the 2019 $2 Rocketship.

The 2019 $2 Rocketship features an uncirculated, Series 2013 $2 Federal Reserve note, with a serial number beginning with “2019.” The colorful packaging features fun facts for kids and an embossed rocket ship and moon in outer space. The $2 note is protected by a clear, acid-free, polymer sleeve.

The first day of sale for the 2019 $2 Rocketship is Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. (ET). Only 24,000 will be available. This product is $9.95, with a discount price of $8.50 for quantities of 50 or more.
