Tour

The tour experience begins with an introductory film and continues with a real-time guided experience exploring currency production from an enclosed walkway suspended above the production floor. We look forward to showcasing the skilled craftsmanship of our currency experts.

  • Admission is always free.
  • Tours are approximately 45 minutes in length.
  • Tours are limited to 40 visitors per tour.
  • The tour is closed on federal holidays and December 23, 2024, through January 1, 2025.
  • Before your visit, please check back on BEP.gov for Tour and Visitor Center updates.

Tour Times

  • Tours run Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.  The last tour starts at 2 p.m.
  • Extended Spring and Summer tour hours run March 24 through August 29, 2025.  The last tour starts at 4 p.m. 

Tour Tickets

  • Tickets are not required to take a tour through November 12, 2024.
  • One adult can reserve up to nine (9) tour tickets.

  • A limited number of same-day tickets for tour times throughout the day will be available at the entrance beginning at 9 a.m., on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • The Tour and Visitor Center Entrance is located at 14th and C Streets, S.W., Wash., D.C. 20228. 

Note: Tour tickets go quickly during popular visiting times such as around holidays, spring break, and the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
